UPS Freight, Teamsters Screw-Up

Filed under: Uncategorized — Roger @ 9:05 am

In the January edition of the Teamster magazine the Teamsters are gloating over the perceived success getting the UPS freight haulers to join the Teamsters. In the story and I quote ” the campaign to organize 12,600 UPS Freight drivers has been successful would be an understatement.” Ken Hall ( Teamster Small Parcel Div.) says “This campaign is about improving the lives of 12,600 workers at UPS Freight and their families.” Ha what a laugh, this is all about keeping the Teamsters in business, and certain freight companies, companies like Roadway, ABF, Yellow trucking. The truth of the matter is that UPS Freight is still going to be able to under cut the big 3 when it comes to costs associated with hauling freight. The big 3 are in the Teamsters Central States Pension, where UPS Freight is not even close to getting into the Teamsters Central States Pension Fund. And why are these contracts not timed correctly ? The freight haulers master freight agreement should be timed to expire the same time UPS freight contract expires ! Man are these people stupid. Without the timing, unionizing UPS freight helps no one but the Teamsters. It sure doesn’t benefit the people.

Please Read, Blackwater By Jeremy Scahill

The rise of the world’s most powerful mercenary army. I can not believe the way the U.S. government is squandering the public’s tax dollars. For hurricane Katrina alone 73 million, or about 243,000 dollars a day, and this is just for Blackwater Corp.. The government claims they couldn’t find people to help with the rescue effort. And in Iraq this U.S. corporation is hiring foreign mercenaries to protect U.S. interests. What I want to know is how come no body is helping the U.S. people get these jobs. We are screwing our own people so bad it isn’t funny.

The Union Movement Doesn’t Deserve To Exist Anymore

Filed under: Uncategorized — Roger @ 6:14 pm

Hello and Happy New Year from Rogerradio, really though the union movement in the USA is way to criminal to be allowed to exist. Besides the fact that less than 1% of a unions members par take in union affairs. For example Teamsters l.344 has approximately 4500 members, but only 30 people show up for union meetings, and all you hear at work is what a bad job the union is doing. Let me also mention here that the complainer’s are the ones absent from the meetings ! Management has put in to many of their cronies, and has destroyed the union movement. Another real bad part of the union is the fact that if you want to try to improve the union, or make suggestions to better the work environment, the union officials will make sure to get you fired. And what does this tell us ? Yea you guessed right, todays labor unions are only being used to contain labor. If we are the richest country in the world how come we don’t get 12 weeks vacation from the start, and more vacation as the years go on ???  The US labor force is being abused to the max…
