I used to have a union steward named Pat Tappa tell me to be careful not to file to many grievances because ” the company only has to win that one.” Pat Tappa would say you can win all of your grievances but the company only has to win your discharge grievance once. What do my fellow Americans think about this ? Isn’t this an indirect threat ? Can a union steward legally say this ?
