The Teamsters Are Helping UPS Rip Off The People

Filed under: Uncategorized — Roger @ 11:34 pm

UPS is a rip off organization ! Do not use UPS ! Besides the fact that UPS is wrongly handling injury cases. Why should it matter who pays the medical bills if you are hurt at work ? Why would UPS want to have less workers compensation claims ? What I find funny is the way the Teamsters are helping UPS to hide these claims. I still remember the stack of injuries that my union leader claimed were injuries that occurred on the job. My union leader also claimed that these claims were depleting the health fund. I’m telling this story again because these people are just so slimy. Are these the people you want coming into your business. Maybe a UPSer will lie and say he slipped on your stair case ! Maybe UPS management will claim you caused his employee to get hurt. This is what is going on a UPS, people getting harassed for filling workers compensation claims. UPS would rather you just go to your doctor than file a claim, it saves UPS money, and they get back at the union people by depleting their health fund. And the Teamsters are not stopping it !

News Groups Blaming Unions

Filed under: Uncategorized — Roger @ 12:37 pm

Its terrible reporting, and should be illegal, when you omit certain points of the story right ! The reason newspapers are getting away with this is because John Q. public is just stone dumb. The news I’m referring to here is states complaining about public sector unions refusing to bargain in regard to their pensions. The specific issue is how much does an individual need to retire ? The newspapers have complained that the union members are getting to much. Well I hate to bust your bubbles but it really has little to do with the unions, and everything to do with management ! There are no union workers in my state getting a yearly pension over $100,000 dollars. Now on managements side they are all around $100,000 dollars and over. This type of pension money is obscene for management in the public sector, besides the fact that they are trying to blame the workers for the pension shortfalls. The people in my state have been lied to, and actually have been taken advantage of by their public officials. Stop the madness, it is actually very simple to remedy. Lets adjust the pensions paid out to what the pension funds can handle. It’s just that simple, but no, our public officials are trying to steal, and confuse the people. How many times have you read in the newspaper exactly what all public employee’s are getting for their pensions ? On occasion they will list a couple of peoples pensions, but thats it. I would like to see a complete list every year of exactly how much every state, county, and local worker gets for a pension. Due to the fact this is public information, why do our newspapers refrain from doing this ? Wouldn’t this information made public force our public sector workers to adjust their pensions accordingly. Especially in light of the differences between public, and private. If our elected officials really wanted to help the people, a law needs to be enacted to keep elected officials from giving themselves huge pensions that rape the people, and in tough times put undo stress on these pension funds.

NAFTA Must Be Renegotiated !

Filed under: Uncategorized — Roger @ 11:43 pm

I wonder why the US government has not come to this conclusion yet ? The benefits of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) under its current configuration are null and void. We are actually losing money as a nation now, with these penalties for not allowing the trucking portion of NAFTA to go through. The only way to proceed here without hurting the US trucking industry is to redo the contract. Why is the US government trying to hurt our own truckers ?  Does the government have the right to hurt it’s own people like this ? Forcing a contract on people is not right ! Demanding truckers take a reduction in wages is B.S. ! There is no way a US truck driver would ever be able to compete with a Mexican truck driver. Not in one life time, no way ! Our taxes on our houses, our diesel fuel, our federal, state, and local tax structure makes it impossible to compete with our Mexican neighbors. So again I say lets re open NAFTA, it is the only way ! What I feel is a funny is that the Teamsters are the ones partially responsible for for getting NAFTA implemented. Again I want to repeat the fact that my union hall told me to vote for Bill Clinton so that NAFTA would not be pushed through, what a joke. Let it also be said that the Teamsters played this real slick, like president Clinton never asked for any help negotiating this contract. Do you see how scummy the Teamsters are. Please goto this web-site to see more government lies about NAFTA. One really important issue I would like to address here is the fact that long haul truck drivers should not be paid for by the mile. It is a very stupid thing to do to get these truck drivers to go faster at the countries expense, I mean the safety of the country. People it is no joke, there is no reason at all to be doing this ! I can tell you that a lot of lives have been lost due to this silly behavior, just to save a few dollars. Besides the fact that it puts undue stress on a driver. I think everyone has known someone that has been injured by a truck driver, big trucks are dangerous people, wake up. Please write you congress people and ask them to outlaw the practice of paying truck drivers by the mile.

Containing The Population For What’s To Come

Filed under: Uncategorized — Roger @ 3:14 pm

It looks real bad for the good old USA. The actual unemployment numbers are closer to 17 percent unemployed. The news media is doing a terrible job reporting the news, besides the fact that they are omitting ton of news, which in effect makes them no help to the people. Here is a piece of news I was not aware of, it is a court case Garcetti v. Ceballos, denying free speech protection to public employees. In this case involving narrowing speech rights was a decision denying free speech protection to public employees. In a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that the government does not violate the First Amendment when it punishes an employee for exposing wrongdoing on the job. This is a huge loss of rights for millions of government workers, and to the detriment of the people that pay taxes, the public is much less likely to learn of misconduct by their government. I would also say the government is preparing its self for bad business decisions made on their behalf.  Justice Anthony Kennedy stated, ” When public employees make statements pursuant to their official duties, the employees are not speaking as citizens for First Amendment purposes, and the Constitution does not protect them from employer discipline.” Shouldn’t employees be rewarded for exposing wrongdoing ? Why is the Supreme Court trying to limit our liberties ? How do you feel about this Supreme Court decision ?
