Did anyone see this article in the (USA Today newspaper) ? It talks about legislatures across the nation considering laws to give workers grounds to sue their superiors for being, basically, jerks. A proposed bill in New Jersey would allow employees to claim $25,000 in damages if an employer created “an abusive work environment.” New York, Vermont and Washington are considering laws and a California workers advocacy group is trying to get a “sue the boss bill” considered there to.
What I want to know is how come Wisconsin isn’t mentioned here, and also why aren’t the big bad Teamsters mentioned here. Does anyone out there know how much the Teamsters donated to Governor Doyle’s election campaign? And what is the working man getting for having a democratic governor? Higher taxes? Screw the Teamsters they are actually hurting the working people of Wisconsin!
